Alpine BRV-S40C BassRev 4" 2-Way Component speaker system

The Alpine BRV-S4C 4" component speakers are an excellent way to add life to your sound. In fact, they're Hi-Res Audio Certified by the Japan Audio Society (JAS). These component speakers include a pair of mid-bass woofers and a pair of 3/4" tweeters that Alpine has designed and tested to maximize the Optim DSP output from select Alpine amplifiers. The 4" mid-bass driver has a HEDGE (High Excursion Design Gathered Edge) surround, a new design from Alpine for a multi-roll surround with a corrugated design, so the stress is spread across the ribs you see in the image below, acting like an expansion joint that lets the cone travel without stretching the surround too much. This design is usually found on high-excursion subwoofers, where a speaker needs long travel and great control.
