Alpine’s HEDGE™ surround on BassRev speakers acts like performance suspension for your woofer. On the BRV-S40, this unique surround lets the 4" cone move farther with control, so more power becomes real, cabin-filling impact—not wasted motion. That extra, linear movement translates to stronger low-end presence and fuller mids, giving BRV-S40 the impact you expect from a larger 6.5" driver while preserving smooth mids and clear vocals.
